Urban Nada Yoga is union through sound from an urban perspective.
AUM or Om is the one sacred sound/vibration from which the Universe was born.
Shiva and the beating of the damaru produced the first sound (nada) in the void of nothingness. The pulse generated a rhythm to which Shiva began his dance of creation. From his dance, the world came into being.
The Nada Yogi experiences the macro cosmic universe as a projection of sound vibrations that generate, operate and destroy everything in existence. The universe evolved from sound, therefore the fundamental structure of the universe is based on nada or sound vibrations.

” There is always a way out of your trouble; and if you take the time to think clearly, to think how to get rid of the cause of your anxiety instead of just worrying about it, you become a master. “
Paramahansa Yoganandaji ( 1893-1952 )
As one of my favorite teachers Yoganandaji explains, when life’s burdens trouble you….even when circumstances appear unbearable, there is always at least one thing you can do in that moment to help oneself. And that first recommend thing is…to Breathe. Slow Down and take a deep breathe of air, of life, of clarity for your over worked mind.
In this society we rush, too much to do, too little time, and sometimes we go too fast and end up stumbling inefficiently toward our goals, for the simple reason of not thinking straight. When you fall down, you can always get back up. The more time you lose feeling bad about whatever downfall may be at the present time illusion, the longer it will take to start over and make it happen. So be strong enough to discard feelings of discouragement, because ultimately, whatever unfavorable things that happen in life are temporary and perfect opportunities to grow, change and surpass your own expectations.
